Steel Coating and Corrosion Inspection
We have considerable experience in assisting owners in identifying and prioritizing their protective coating requirements. We provide on-site structure or component evaluation which includes physical examination and testing in compliance with industry standards, (American Society for Testing and Materials - ASTM, National Association of Corrosion Engineers - NACE and others). A Condition Assessment, Repaint Priority and Technical Specification Preparation, including surface preparation and protective coatings recommendations are incorporated into the comprehensive report. Testing procedures include film thickness, adhesion, total lead and others as appropriate.
Aerial Numbers/Danger Sign Installation
Our training and experience in safely climbing and working on energized electric transmission structures provides us with the unique ability to offer signage installation and replacement services. Our crews are able to safely climb elevated, complex structures to remove and replace aerial identification signs, danger/warning signs and other markings while minimizing or eliminating the need for costly outages or equipment shutdowns. Our workers employ all types of signage attachment procedures, including adhesive, banding and mechanical attachments (i.e. Hilte guns).
Steel Plate & Lattice Member Fabrication
Our focus on the long term preservation of transmission structures has afforded PUM the experience, knowledge and capabilities to inspect, as well as, repair steel structures, including member replacement. Our crews can provide on-site fabrication and installation of steel components along with replacement of missing member connectors (nuts, bolts, etc.). PUM's services include thorough inspections and detailed reports along with recommendations for repair. Our certified crews are trained to safely climb and work on steel transmission structures of any configuration and provide repair services compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Bolt & Nuts Inspection or Replacement
Although a small component compared to the overall structure, Bolts & Nuts are the most vital to holding your structures together. PUM's services include thorough inspections and detailed reports along with recommendations for replacement. Our certified crews are trained to safely climb and work on steel transmission structures of any configuration and provide bolt and nut replacement services. This is an individual service we can provide or in part with painting and/or Steel repair services.
