Job Duties
- Pass the following tests prior to employment: drug test, (no credit check), and pass physical examination evaluation process during training;
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs;
- Outdoors painting of energized /de-energized, high voltage electrical transmission / distribution towers & substations;
- Climbing & Painting of towers, wearing & using PPE equipment, tools, and paint pails, utilizing 100% tie off techniques at all times;
- Steel surface preparation utilizing hand &/or Power tools;
- Applying paint with the use of mitts, brushes and/or roller
- Adhere to all company policies / Health and Safety rules, and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA), and client/customer requirements at all times;
- Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor conditions, at heights up to 300’ in both hot and cold climate conditions;
- Ability to travel on job sites via 4×4, ATV / 6 wheeler, helicopter, and ability to walk with equipment from tower sites not accessible by motor vehicle
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the work area, as well as your sleeping quarters;
- Availability is very important!, Willing to travel over 4 weeks at a time to jobs across North America, and must work weekends upon request;

- Familiar with, or ability to learn, various surface preparation and coating techniques and expected to become efficient;
- Attend training sessions and participate in certification programs as necessary;
- Must have knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- Effectively interact with all levels of management, staff, and customers;
- Strict attention to detail and organization;
- Must be able to adapt to changing schedule/project(s)/location(s);
- Current certifications for &/ or ability to become CPR/First Aid AED, OSHA 10 hour, High Voltage Safety and Awareness, Hazardous Material Awareness, Fall Protection, Lead Removal, RF Radiation Safety & Awareness, & Competent Climber certified (Annual training and certification provided by company)
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license w/ clean driving record and no DUI’s;
- Experience in pulling trailers is preferred
Job Location
- PUMI Operates out of Queens Village, NY, however the worksites are throughout the United States
Rate of Pay
- Commensurate with experience and certifications already attained
- Minimum start $30 / hour, paid weekly
- Company provides all required PPE (except footwear)
- Company pays for sleeping accommodations, travel, and transportation to / from project site (daily).
